The notes/conclusions were written several months back when I had first tried out Batik 1.7 Beta and was surprised at how compliant it was. At the time, this thing I had never used before was the best implementation out there.

Opera 9.5 Alpha (release last week) is now marginally better – so yes, technically it kicks even more ass than Batik now.

On your SVG Test Suite results, why is your first conclusion “Batik 1.7 Beta 1 kicks ass”. Did you mean “Opera 9.5 Alpha 1 kicks even more ass” instead ?

Thanks Cam. The explanation here was quite informative also. This means that Firefox got it right, while Opera 9.2 did not (but Opera 9.5 fixed it).

Note that the reference image for styling-css-04 is incorrect. C3 and D3 should have solid strokes, not dashed strokes.

It would be really cool to know what testcases you use. And, do you take notes (or do some measurement) on the performance per implementation? I think its absolutely not a waste of time, it’s actually very important to track this progress..

Finally indeed! That’s always been annoying. Now… what are those tests that Opera passes that Batik doesn’t?
