FireFox 3 Beta 3 has brought the ability to embed mathml in SVG. There are some positioning differences from Amaya 10 pre-release, but then the specification for foreignObject in SVG appears to be a bit vague in this regard. I hope to use mathml embedded in svg for physical science web pages such as <a href="http://www.comfsm.fm/~dleeling/tech/mathml-in-svg.xhtml" rel="nofollow">diagrams with formulas</a>. I just tried the <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/ie/ie8/readiness/Install.htm" rel="nofollow">IE8 beta</a> and it doesn't seem to support SVG in any way, shape or form. Also I think it's used quite a bit by other Java projects. Another tool that I found useful is <a href="http://fontforge.sourceforge.net/" title="Online font editor to create your own fonts in SVG" rel="nofollow">fontforge</a>, which easily exports any type of font to the SVGFont format, either in part or as a whole.
