[clipart]I've updated my marketshare spreadsheet for January 2010 charting the percentage of web users who can view SVG/Canvas: 36.86%

Spreadsheet

P.S. I should mention that this figure does not take into account any user that has a SVG plugin installed or authors who have used the excellent SVG Web or ExplorerCanvas shims, so this is really a worst-case number.

  1. It’s always great seeing such statistics published, thanks for sharing. 🙂

Actually, that wouldn’t be hard. Probably there will only be a few users…? Are you using your own detection methods? (According to the spreadsheet, you are using stuff from StatOwl.com.) If you’d like to consider including them as well, I’ve coded a simple snippet (shared via SVG Developers to use with my HTML for SVG interaction demo: it only accounts for ASV and Renesis, but adding other SVG plug-ins would be quite easy (I didn’t do it there on purpose). 😉

    Hi Helder,

Yes, I only take into account aggregated marketshare statistics from 4 different places (the same places that Wikipedia uses), so I don’t really have a way to get the true ‘SVG marketshare’ statistics from those sites.
