{"id":26,"date":"2005-01-26T09:31:03","date_gmt":"2005-01-26T15:31:03","guid":{"rendered":"\/?p=26"},"modified":"2005-01-26T09:31:03","modified_gmt":"2005-01-26T15:31:03","slug":"find-something-else-adrian","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.codedread.com\/blog\/archives\/2005\/01\/26\/find-something-else-adrian\/","title":{"rendered":"Move On, Adrian"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I'm a sucker for the Academy Awards, not sure why I care but I usually tune in (even though I wasn't able to get out and see too many movies last year).<\/p>\n<p>Two years ago, actor <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0004778\/?fr=c2l0ZT1kZnxteD0yMHxzZz0xfGxtPTIwMHx0dD1vbnxwbj0wfHE9QWRyaWFuIEJyb2R5fGh0bWw9MXxubT1vbg__;fc=1;ft=20;fm=1\">Adrian Brody<\/a> won Best Actor In A Lead Role for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/redirect?link_code=as2&path=ASIN\/B00005JLT5&tag=codedread-20&camp=1789&creative=9325\">The Pianist<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=codedread-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B00005JLT5\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/>.  His acceptance speech for the Oscar became newsworthy because he was so excited that he grabbed presenter Halle Berry and planted a big wet one on her and he also shouted down the orchestra when they started to play over his speech (due to limited time).<\/p>\n<p>So at last year's awards show, he was the presenter for Best Actress In A Lead Role.  As a gag, before he presented the award he spritzed his mouth with breath freshener.  Ha ha.  Actually, pretty funny for Hollywood.  But he got to smooch with the orange-skinned <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000234\/?fr=c2l0ZT1kZnxteD0yMHxzZz0xfGxtPTIwMHx0dD1vbnxwbj0wfHE9Y2hhcmxpemUgdGhlcm9ufGh0bWw9MXxubT1vbg__;fc=1;ft=21\">Charlize Theron<\/a> (who won for her role in the film <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/redirect?link_code=as2&path=ASIN\/B00005JMUK&tag=codedread-20&camp=1789&creative=9325\">Monster<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=codedread-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B00005JMUK\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/>), so I guess the gag paid off.<\/p>\n<p>Then, yesterday morning they announced the nominees for Academy Awards for 2004 and I happened to catch it since I was working from home.  They had Adrian Brody as co-announcer.  He did the same breath freshener gag (but this time with his male announcer).
