This, of course, makes no sense in terms of continuity &#8230; we have seen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.codedread.com\/comicbooks\/?p=2289\">Molly Mayne coming up with the idea for Harlequin<\/a>!  Oh well, at least they tried to give comic-book-plausible reasons for why she keeps breaking out of jail (she was working for the FBI) and how her spectacles work (magnesium flares and hypnotism).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In another bad omen for superheroes in the Golden Age, Green Lantern&#8217;s own mag features a story in which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.codedread.com\/comicbooks\/?p=2352\">Streak the Wonder Dog<\/a> is the star and Allan Scott just plays supporting character.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In Green Lantern #34 (July 1947), Allan Scott learns that Harlequin has been a secret agent all along, she is Agent H-9 of the Bureau.
