By this time, DC had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.codedread.com\/comicbooks\/466-jsa-jets-out\/\">given up on the Justice Society of America<\/a> three years ago and, apart from a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.codedread.com\/comicbooks\/502-the-mightiest-team\/\">Batman\/Superman team-up<\/a> and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.codedread.com\/comicbooks\/519-wonder-woman-at-the-movies\/\">Superman mention in a Wonder Woman story<\/a>, have seemed to dismiss the idea of combining hero continuities, so it&#8217;s a treat to see Atlas\/Marvel doing this, even if only for a couple panels!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An even tastier treat is to see Captain America infected by a virus and brainwashed briefly into working for the Reds, because we get another <a href=\"https:\/\/www.codedread.com\/comicbooks\/380-bucky-slap\/\">Bucky slap<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"462\" height=\"604\" src=\"https:\/\/www.codedread.com\/comicbooks\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/bucky-slap-2.png\" alt=\"Another panel from Young Men #26, Dec 1953\" class=\"wp-image-3185\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.codedread.com\/comicbooks\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/bucky-slap-2.png 462w, https:\/\/www.codedread.com\/comicbooks\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/bucky-slap-2-229x300.png 229w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 462px) 100vw, 462px\" \/><figcaption>Another panel from Young Men #26, Dec 1953<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>You know, I had read a bit about Atlas \/ Marvel&#8217;s 1950s attempt to revive their Golden Age superheroes but it&#8217;s much more ambitious than I had envisioned.
