Another month, another new Flash rogue: Abra-Kadabra makes his first appearance in Flash #128, March 1962. This time, it’s a stage magician in the 64th century, who laments that no one likes stage magic anymore because future science is so fantastical. He wistfully pines for an audience to applaud for him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He gets the bright idea to seize a prototype time machine (which is odd because there have been multiple ways to travel through time dating back to the 1960s in the DC universe). He lands in 1962 and darn, the time machine is out of juice. He decides to take up street magic with his future science, uses a hypno-ray to compel people to applaud, but somehow he is dissatisfied.<\/p>\n\n\n

He ups the ante with his next performances, making a statue disappear and catching the eye of our Scarlet Speedster, the Flash. In the ensuing tussle, Abra manages to propel Barry Allen right out of his costume and racing into space. He’s real-gone!<\/p>\n\n\n

Barry uses his super-speed trickery and his aura of protection to make his way back to Earth. Races into his costume and quickly defeats Abra, putting him in jail.
