So having gone through my 1000+ unread feed items, emails, blog comments and sundries, here's what I think I missed while on our pilgrimage to worship a mouse in the south. Ok, so I've made the switch from primarily Windows to primarily OS X on my MacBook Pro. However, I still need to occasionally boot into Windows or have Windows running in VMWare Fusion. Apparently Steve Ballmer has publicly stated that Microsoft plans to look into Webkit... that's news to me! Microsoft's browser needs to support modern web standards: HTML4, XHTML, CSS, SVG and as much HTML5 as is ready for deployment.
But Microsoft has also publicly been "looking into" SVG for years and years, so I'm not going to hold my breath.
These days, Internet Explorer is the last browser I look at... as long as all my textual content is actually visible, then that's just fine by me.
Anyone have any idea why I'm suddenly seeing a large number of hits using a browser with the following UA string:
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 5.0)
Only happened in the last few days too. Weird.
