Well since yesterday morning we've been getting snow here in the Chicago area at various rates and it's still coming down strong out here in the suburbs. I'd say we're at about 9 inches (or over 20 cm). and it's looking quite nice out there - though I'll be working from home today, darn. It always amazes me how life's priorities change when nature grumbles at us.

This blog currently has an audience of one, so it may seem odd to give an introduction but my name is Jeff Schiller, I currently live in the Chicago North West suburbs with my wife, Samantha, and two 10-month old boys, Joshua and Jacob. I am a software engineer but some of my other interests include Cartoons (particularly theatrical shorts from the Golden Age of Animation such as Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry, Betty Boop, Popeye, and Mickey Mouse), Game Development, Film (older short comedies like Our Gang Comedies, Charlie Chaplin, Roscoe Arbuckle, Buster Keaton and newer comedy masterpieces like "The Big Lebowski" and "Rushmore"), contributing to Wikipedia, and learning about the DVD authoring process.

More on ALL those topics at a later date.

I think I’d feel the same if I could work from home 😉 My sentiment is a little different having spent an hour or so going forty miles an hour on the hightway…

Nice to meet you Jeff. … Rob, IMO working at home over extended periods of time typically makes people anti-social.

    Hi Mauriat,

I hope you don’t mind Rob and I stealing your idea and starting blogs ;)…anyway, it keeps me writing a little each day which is a good thing.
