Found a great post today that mirrors most of my own thoughts on web programming today and in the future. It's amazing when you find posts like this that so closely match your own thought processes. Give it a read if you had the time.
I agree with Ryan: I don't think there is a "Google OS" product. To Google, the "operating system" is the browser, that's why they're putting money in Mozilla's pockets. Too bad Google Documents doesn't support Opera 9 yet (though if you append "&browserok=true" to the URL, you can at least create documents, not spreadsheets).
Just days after I complained that Opera should release developer tools, they have now done so (in preview form). Go check out this article at Dev.Opera. While they lack the spit and polish of a Firefox tool like Firebug they at least give you the opportunity to inspect your DOM and CSS.
