I agree with Ryan: I don't think there is a "Google OS" product. To Google, the "operating system" is the browser, that's why they're putting money in Mozilla's pockets. Too bad Google Documents doesn't support Opera 9 yet (though if you append "&browserok=true" to the URL, you can at least create documents, not spreadsheets).

Just days after I complained that Opera should release developer tools, they have now done so (in preview form). Go check out this article at Dev.Opera. While they lack the spit and polish of a Firefox tool like Firebug they at least give you the opportunity to inspect your DOM and CSS.

Read about Kurt Cagle's abysmal experience with IE7. I didn't suffer such a horrific experience because I manually installed IE7 prior to the automated roll-out on one machine and my other Windows boxes are not using XP SP2.

However, I did enjoy Kurt's very apt description of Opera 9:

I like Opera 9, which to me is a fine-jeweled watch that’s a wonder to work with.

I concur whole-heartedly! It's a shame that Opera doesn't have more market share.
