We attended another session at 5:30 PM Thursday regarding Hollywood production companies. The speaker drew some interesting parallels to the movie industry of the 1920s and how the business model eventually changed such that the major Hollywood studios "farm" their productions/films out to production companies. Well, we got into Oakland, CA a little late tonight (about 11 PM PST). At the Dollar Car Rental desk, I somehow managed to sweet-talk the 60-year old Asian man into getting us a better car (a PT-Cruiser instead of a Dodge Neon).
